Instead of throwing away stuff that you no longer want, you offer it to someone else. Daily emails are sent to notify members of new items. You can also place a request for something you need. If we just encourage them to buy more stuff...we aren't really changing any ones habits. Some cities charge customer per can and limit pickups so folks end up adjuting on their own to avoid costs. That's another way to incentivize without creating more of the problem we are trying to correct....Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good bloggin!
