MuseGreen’s green shopping experience donates 2% of all proceeds to our hand-chosen environmental causes.

Now, of course, we’d love everybody to choose from our selection of eco-friendly, organic products, but we also know that life’s not always like that and sometimes that’s just not possible. So, whatever you buy through our store, green or otherwise, will result in a donation back to planet. We hope that this will also help to offset the carbon footprint of the products you purchase.

Choosing which causes to support was not an easy task for us, by any stretch of the imagination! There are so many great and worthy organisations out there doing all kinds of fabulous work to help the environment. We decided, however, to find a nice range of organisations that help the planet in a variety of ways: from supporting our oceans, to educating our children, to reforestation efforts. We believe that these organisations help the planet’s sustainability today, and for future generations.

The causes we have chosen are:

Through their hands-on, nature-based environmental education programs tailored specifically to young children, The Children’s Nature Institute has been connecting children (and adults!) to nature in the greater Los Angeles Area for over 20 years. How do they do it?

They bring nature to children (and adults!) with the CNI Wonder Mobile, a traveling science classroom stocked with feathers, bones, taxidermy specimens, sea shells, live animals and more.

They close the loop with activities such as the Urban Nature Hunt, which shows families how to find nature in their own neighborhoods and schoolyards.

They bring children (and adults!) to nature with CNI’s Family Nature Walks and Outreach Field Trips, guided excursions at our beaches and mountains, led by CNI-trained Volunteer Walk Leaders.

Their award-winning nature activity book, Trails, Tails and Tidepools in Pails, serves as a reference guide for parents and teachers.

They close the loop with activities such as the Urban Nature Hunt, that shows families how to find nature in their own neighborhoods and schoolyards.

Project Green Hands‘ vision is to create and nurture a society that will develop a deep culture of care towards the environment and keep this planet livable for future generations.

They hope to accomplish this by preventing and reversing environmental degradation by enabling sustainable living for rural communities within the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. They aim to provide the necessary inspiration, environmental education and support to the people of this state to achieve the planting of 114 million trees – an additional 10% green cover for the region.

Since they opened their doors in 1984, the Monterey Bay Aquarium has had one clear mission: to inspire conservation of the oceans. MuseGreen are proud to support one of the many Monterey Bay Aquariums worthwhile projects – Saving The Seahorse. Seahorses are some of the most enchanting and mysterious creatures in the ocean. They are also in trouble, struggling to survive in threatened habitats around the world. That’s why it’s so important that we tell their story and make a difference for their survival.
